The Artists
Eveline Eichenberger grew up in Zollikofen (Switzerland). She began her studies in Kurt Weber's class
at the Berne Conservatory (Hochschule der Künste), graduating with a soloist diploma. She continued her studies with Chen Halevi
as an exchange student at the state conservatory in Trossingen (Germany). Eveline Eichenberger won prizes at international
competitions for young performers, did resident training with the Berne Symphony Orchestra and has performed as a soloist with
professional orchestras. In addition to her music studies she is also interested in cultural administration, having done internships
within the framework of the Berne Biennial and the Lucerne Festival Academy. She is currently active as an independent musician
in a number of ensembles. As a private music teacher Eveline Eichenberger has specialized in teaching with the tiger clarinet,
which is used in early instrumental teaching.
Wenzel Grund was born in Prague and grew up in Burgdorf (Switzerland). He studied (clarinet major) with
Kurt Weber at the Conservatory for Music in Berne. Already during this time he was first clarinetist with the Junge Schweizer
Philharmonie, with the Zurich International Opera Studio, later in other professional ensembles. Wenzel Grund earned both a
teaching diploma and a soloist diploma. He rounded off his studies in master classes with Jost Michaels, Karl Leister, Siegfried
Palm and other internationally eminent teachers. Since then he has dedicated himself exclusively to an international career as
a soloist and chamber musician with renowned ensembles. He is a prominent teacher at a number of music institutions and acts as
a jury member at national and international music competitions.
Sven Bachmann grew up in Windisch (Switzerland). He studied at the conservatories in Zurich and Bern,
earning teaching and concert diplomas. He continued his studies in master classes with eminent international artists. English
clarinet virtuoso and pedagogue Alan Hacker influenced his artistic development significantly and encouraged his interest in
stylistic diversity. Sven Bachmann founded the Trio La Jalousie, known for its performances of distinguished salon music. As
the Duo cabriolas he performs together with his wife Sabine Bachmann-Frey, specializing in ethno music. In addition to this he
plays in the operetta stage orchestras in Sursee and Möriken as well as in the Camerata Musica Lucerne. He has also organized
a number of concert series and music festivals, and is active as a teacher for young clarinet and saxophone students.
